As I sit in a cold, dark Dallas apartment just waiting for my cell phone to also run out of electricity, I am reminded of The Black Swan.
While shopping for electricity providers I saw deals from companies like Griddy that promised to save me money by utilizing all sorts of complicated schemes. I ultimately chose a flat-rate electricity plan. One, because I didn’t want to think about hitting certain requirements, and two, there’s always the possibility of some unseen but certain to happen event that would ruin all my savings. And this is exactly what’s happening to Griddy.
I've had Griddy for over 2 years - I had saved about $1200 during that time, and my Griddy bill for the month is now right at $1200 (I've since moved to another provider)
