Boot time of 16sec is also kind of a moot point... it drops in and out of sleep so effortlessly I doubt I'll ever need to reboot the thing.

Indeed. This has been the case with all my recent macs, actually. Why reboot (or shut down) if you can always just put it to sleep quickly.
