I created PrivacyAngel to help people protect better their privacy when using popular services online. Nobody has time to read privacy policies and sometimes it's hard to quickly understand what's at stake for your privacy when using a service.

PrivacyAngel gathers 800+ popular products. I read dozens of privacy policies in order to help you understand how your privacy is protected (or not!) when using those products and how to protect better your privacy.

My blog gets 1M unique visitors per month and earns 2K/mo with adsense.

Question: with that many uniques, wouldn’t you be able to monetize further? Affiliate marketing and such?

Seems low to me too. I'm getting ~US$200/month with about 30k page views per month (not even uniques, but I'm a one-stop-shop, not a portal).

And it's all static, so zero maintenance. Just pay the couple bucks a month to S3 and domain names.

But then again, I target people angry at their XYZ provider, so the clickthrough rates are pretty good :)

Are you doing the writing or are you aggregating or something else?

Myself, but I haven't added any content for ~4 years.

Niche/industry can have a huge impact on cpms though.

What's your blog?

Thank you for your feedback! I changed the formula for "Made with love for {{user_country}}". My intention wasn't to fool people but just experiment something to get to know them better.

All my friends are turning off their Snapchat account to keep using Instagram that does the same + better photo features.

Some startups are "feature startups". They add a functionality to a bigger corporation and grow along the corporation. Usually, if they do their job right, the obvious exit is an acquisition by the bigger corporation.

However, if there is not high barriers to entry or if your startups is too expensive (eg. Snapchat), it's easier for the bigger corporation to just build a similar feature.

If the main platform decides to implement the exact same feature, you are likely to close doors. You can still pivot but improving the feature will not make you more valuable for them. They will just copy your improvement if it's worth it.
