Im currently in Vietnam. Regarding zoning laws it’s literally the wild west here. I don’t think it’s ideal, but it’s very interesting. For example it is flooded with cafes and some people would even open cafes in their home just for fun seemingly. One time I entered a seemingly busy cafe, but it turned out I was the only real customer and the rest were friends of the owner.

Good design should be timeless. For example, I like wat Leica did for their M serie cameras. At a certain point they decided that the design was done, and stopped messing around. For that you need leadership with good taste, because designers will always design.

Mostly, but they made mistakes too. Just look at the M5 vs the M6 vs the M7. The original M6 came out in 1984 and it is still the preferred model to this day in terms of film cameras. The M5 was too large and the M7 was too «electronic». People preferred the cameras that stuck closer to the original DNA. M6 cameras still fetch a pretty penny today. (So much so that Leica made a reissue a few years ago).

Former libertarian here. The issue with libertarianism is that it does not explain the state of the world. The world is inherently unregulated. If libertarianism was superior it would have outcompeted other systems and it would have been the dominant system right now.

Historic explanations are even more problematic. How does libertarianism explain nomadic cultures or rice growing cultures (that tend to be highly collectivist)?

Actually yes. Ukraine is far easier to invade for Russia. Geography is super flat. You can drive in from anywhere. Easy to supply thanks to sovjet rail. Spain is very mountainous and a pain in the ass to invade. How would Russia supply their troops that are completely rail dependent?

In the past reputation matters. Accounts like "Endwokeness" would never work, because people would just make fun of him. "Why is he so obsessed with trans people?" "Does he have a job?". His whole persona would become an inside joke. You also can't just spam low effort opening post, because it will just be removed, so if he for example wants to hate on gay people he needs to write whole essays about it.

Hyundai has been making industrial robots for decades. They are also big in shipbuilding and defence. The K2 black panther is one of the best tanks in the world. Imagine the hype if Tesla did half the things Hyundai did.
